No company can afford to be without a web site in the twenty-first century, and the most forward-looking companies have embraced the latest standards and the freshest technologies to provide truly welcoming online homes for their businesses.
Kew Business Services Ltd have a track record of tight, standards-compliant code, backed by powerful programming "under the hood", all topped off with some elegant design touches. We've even written a program called qvalid that automates the process of code checking and search-engine optimisation. As yet we haven't been able to write a program that can test for gorgeousness, so we still do that by eye.
Here are a few examples of the web sites KewBSL has designed or re-engineered.

The American Auto Barn

The American AutobarnThe American Auto Barn is a specialist Importer and distributor of American car parts, based in Peterborough in the UK. The owners already had an online presence with several different e-stores, and KewBSL were commissioned to make a web front-end that would act as a visually attractive introduction to the company as well as a portal to its various retail outlets. The site is xhtml and css2 compliant throughout with a bold, striking colour scheme and features Flash animation to add visual interest.

Red Cell Security

Advanced Security Training Red Cell Security is a specialist consultancy firm offering security testing, assessments and training.
The company's managing director had a clear vision of how the company's image should be reflected in its web site and this was implemented by KewBSL in the form of a Flash animation, incorporating dynamically loading text which can be updated quickly and easily by the customer as required, as can all the text and images in the main body of the site, making it a fully customisable web presence.
The site is fully standards-compliant for XHTML and CSS, despite the fact that Joomla itself wasn't compliant at the time, so some re-writing of the application code was needed.

The Conker Exchange

The Conker ExchangeThe Conker Exchange is an international support site by women for women.
When the site was originally formulated, it was based on a Joomla template with links to some php-based applications providing additional functionality such as bulletin boards and galleries, each with its own user database. KewBSL's role was to stitch these diverse applications together so that users could simply log in once on the home page and be recognised across all the various segments of the site, seamlessly and effortlessly.
A full description of the project can be found here for anyone with an interest in how to carry out this type of integration.

"We were very pleased with the work of KewBSL. We were especially impressed with their dedication to getting the site exactly how we wanted it. We gave a vague brief, but they were willing and able to turn this into a system we're proud of. We would highly recommend them to anyone."
- Site Owner, The Conker Exchange

Artisite

Artisite Artisite is the brainchild of Helen Brooks, to serve as a platform for her artwork and that of her friends. Being an artist, she had her own ideas about the look and feel of the site which were translated into code by KewBSL.
The distinctive online gallery was created using Macromedia Flash, and care was taken to keep the whole thing down to a reasonable file size so that it could be downloaded easily by visitors.
